Individualized Education Program (IEP)

The Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a document that developed for each child who needs special education. The IEP usually includes how the student learns, how the student best demonstrates that learning and what teachers and service providers will do to help the student learn more effectively.

For children with autism and children with certain other disabilities, the creation of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) is important for them to receive education especially in public school. It is aimed to meet that child’s specific special education needs.

Besides that, it sets goals and objectives, describes what services a child will receive as part of his or her special education program in order to improve their education levels and quality of life.
